Bay Area Scientific Computing Day 2019:
AAII is co-sponsoring the 2019 Bay Area Scientific Computing Day, on December 16, 2019 at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LNBL). If you wish to attend and can drive or need a ride, sign up here.

Kavli Summer Program in Astrophysics:
AAII is co-sponsoring the 2019 Kavli Summer Program in Astrophysics (KSPA) titled “Machine learning in the era of large astronomical surveys”
While attendance to the full school is now closed for students, anyone is welcome to apply to attend the conference during the first week (July 8-12, 209) which will be a combination of lectures on Machine Learning and presentations. The latter will be Astronomy focused by the lectures are intended to be for a more general audience. Apply using this form.

At the Intersect of Academia and Industry (AI^2) in data science :
AAII will host a day-long conference on October 23, 2019 at the Silicon Valley Campus focused on the intersection of academics and data scientists from industry. We are still formulating the program but it will be a mix of science, professional development, and networking. Here is the official conference notice.
